Once you register for the minimum hours required, your scholarship will appear in the “Financial Aid and Payment” section of your online Tuition Billing Statement. Scholarships will go towards tuition, medical insurance, and required class fees first. If this is already covered (through other scholarships, financial aid, or payments you make), you may:
- Sign up for direct deposit (click “authorize direct deposit” at the bottom of your tuition billing statement) to have extra funds deposited directly to your bank account.
- If you have not authorized direct deposit, BYU will mail a check to your mailing address listed on Route Y.
- Contact Financial Services at (801) 422-4104 to request that the money be moved to another area (i.e. housing). Be aware that deadlines and timing are important—if the university has already printed you a check or deposited the funds to your bank account, this is not an option for you.
Remember to write your thank you letter and complete your service hours.
