In addition to the academic scholarships listed below, BYU also offers scholarships based on financial need, home area, extracurricular activities, disability, etc. To be considered for all of these scholarships, complete the comprehensive application (be sure to look at the “additional opportunities” tab at the end of the application).
If you only wish to be considered for academic scholarships, complete the basic application.
Continuing student cutoffs change annually and we do not know what they will be this year. However, last year’s cutoffs are listed below to give you an idea of what is generally required. Approximately one-third of our students receive a scholarship.
Please note that both your cumulative GPA and your BYU GPA by itself must meet the scholarship requirements. Your cumulative GPA is the combination of your BYU GPA and any transfer work you may have.
For fall and winter scholarships, we wait to evaluate your GPA until grades from the previous winter semseter are posted.
