The Thomas S. Monson Scholarship is the most prestigious undergraduate scholarship offered at Brigham Young University. This scholarship, which bears the name of the Prophet and President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, recognizes the leadership, personal character, and academic promise of some of the finest young minds in the Church. Twenty-five young men and twenty-five young women are awarded each year. To be appointed a Thomas s. Monson Presidential Scholar is a singular achievement.
Award: One and one-half times LDS tuition for 8 semesters
Deadline: All application materials must be postmarked to the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office by February 1, 2008. Faxed copies will not be accepted. You must also complete the online application for admission to BYU. We strongly encourage you to submit a completed application 4-6 weeks in advance of the February 1 deadline to insure timely processing of your materials.
Notification: All qualified applicants will be notified of scholarship decisions by the end of April 2008.
